What is the Desire Map?

The Desire Map started out as a book, written by Danielle LaPorte. From there, it became the driver of over 500 book clubs around the world. At the heart of it all? A commitment to feeling good. Cynics would say that choosing to place your focus on feeling good is silly – maybe, even selfish.

But I (and thousands of other Desire Mappers around the globe) know better. Because who wants to live a life that doesn’t feel good?

Who wants to work in a job that sucks their life force?
Who wants to be in relationships where they don’t feel nourished and honoured?
Who wants to feel bored in their own life?
Not me. And I’m pretty sure, not you.

The Desire Map taught me how to make better choices by making decisions based on my core desired feelings. And that boils down to living a life that feels good to live.

I’ve watched this book inspire major transformation in my own life and in the lives of many others. I believe in this material — I know that it works.

Which is why… I took my passion for The Desire Map one step further. I have become an Official Licensed Facilitator of The Desire Map. Woo!

How do I figure out my Core Desired Feelings?

There are a bunch of tools available to you. You can do it on your own, with a coach like me or as part of group. You can do it over a few weeks or on one intensive day. You can do it in-person or online. So many options. You just need to figure out what is the best fit for you, your learning style, time and budget.

What kind of learner are you?

I have two BAs -Child Studies and Psychology and I worked for 5 years as an educational consultant for learning disabled teens. They had a ‘normal’ IQ but with significant differences in their strengths and weakness. Figuring out what kind of learner they were was essential to helping them with their school work and participating in social and group activities. Some of the things we took into consideration: auditory process, visual spacial skills, memory, problem solving, language, fine motor skills, emotions and behaviour.

Before deciding which programme is right for you I want you to ask what kind of learner are you?

I like to learn at my own pace and on my own.

If you love to read then I recommend the books – softcover or e-book.

If you like to listen to books on tape and podcasts the audio options are a good idea – Audio Book, The Desire Map Experience: A Guide To Creating Goals With Soul, or The Desire Map Daily: A Guide to Feeling Your Power Everyday.

Either way get the workbook as it has awesome tried and true exercises that lead you to pinpointing your Core Desired Feelings.

I am an interactive type of learner. I need to be stimulated from an outside source to learn.

Working with a coach like me can help you go through the process with some guidance. There will be a variety of activities (visual, auditory, hands-on, movement where you can explore the different components
